Solo Exam Divider sets carry a 90-day customer satisfaction guarantee. Retain the original packaging during this period so that you can return the sets for a full refund (including return shipping in the U.S. and Canada only) if our table-top privacy screens do not meet your needs. Please contact us if you wish to arrange return shipping. Free return shipping is limited to a maximum of four sets.
Solo School Products warrants our Exam Divider sets against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two years after purchase. If you let us know about any such defects, we will do our best to make it right for you at no charge. Exam Divider stands may break if dropped to the floor or otherwise abused. We do not warrant our products against damage as the result of accidents or abuse.
Large Volume Purchases:
We are currently working hard to automate parts of our manufacturing process and hope to be capable of a much higher volume of production within 12 to 18 months. In the meantime economies of scale are very limited for us and therefore we cannot offer price reductions to buyers such as school districts or school furniture suppliers for large-scale purchases. Our best price for now is our "four sets or more" price as set out in the orders page. Also, because demand for our exam divider sets is beginning to outstrip our current production capability, we have a maximum order size of ten sets. We hope to lift this limit in the near future and ask you to be patient with us while we automate.
We regret that, because of the costs involved, we are unable to send out free sample screens and blocks.
Sending a sample costs us between $45 (local) and $65 (U.S. east coast) each. The shape of the sample screen
results in shipping costs that are a full one-third to one-half the costs of shipping a full set. We cannot
provide samples while maintaining the lowest prices possible for our customers.
We think that our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee (above) is a much better solution as it allows our customers to evaluate the entire set without risk.
Taxes Charged to our Canadian Customers:
All Canadian sales are subject to federal sales tax (including the listed shipping charge).
- BC: 12% HST
- ON, NB, NL: 13% HST
- NS: 15% HST
- Other provinces & territories: 5% GST
Within the Vancouver, BC area, we may ship your order by Canada Post, by Fedex, or by direct delivery --whichever method is most economical for you. Usually an order of one set is shipped (about $26) while orders of multiple sets are delivered. Delivery fees within Vancouver, Burnaby and the North Shore are $35. Delivery to Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, New Westminster and Delta is $45. Other Fraser Valley or Squamish Valley deliveries are $55. This fee covers orders of any size.
Within the rest of Canada, we ship by Canada Post Expedited Parcel (the most economical of their shipping methods) or by FedEx Ground.
U.S. Shipments of one to three sets are normally sent by Canada Post U.S. Expedited Parcel where Canada Post takes the parcels to the border and hands them off to the U.S. Postal Service. Four sets or more are normally sent by FedEx International Ground.
Other Foreign Shipments are normally sent by Canada Post XPress Post International (Air) or Canada Post International Parcel (Surface). The customs clearance (brokerage) fee is included in the shipping charge.
Foreign Exchange Policies:
U.S. customers paying by credit card are now charged directly in U.S. dollars. If you are paying by purchase order we will bill you in U.S. dollars. There are no currency exchange fees for our U.S. customers.
Other foreign customers paying by credit card are charged in Canadian dollars. Your credit card company will convert that charge to the currency of your country when they bill you. We accept cheques only in Canadian or U.S. dollars drawn on a Canadian or U.S. bank.
We would be happy to supply documents required by you or your organization at no extra charge. These include
- W-8BEN forms (equivalent to W-9 forms but for non-U.S. companies)
- Vendor application forms of the short and general variety.
- Sole Source Letters stating that, we are the only distributor of Solo Exam Dividers and that, to the best of our knowledge, we are the only web-based providers of test dividers constructed from durable materials (MDF and twin-wall corrugated polypropylene).
- We regret that we are unable to supply notarized documents (letters witnessed and signed by a Notary Public) for free. Please contact us if you need to have a notarized document.
